Jim Hunter is a founding partner of Mufson Howe Hunter.  Prior to Mufson Howe Hunter, he was a managing director at Commerce Capital Markets.  He directs the firm's activities with emerging-growth and middle-market companies in business, information technology and financial services.  He also has industry knowledge and experience with commercial banks and real estate services.  An investment banker since 1987, Mr. Hunter has raised capital in public offerings and private placements, represented buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions, valued businesses and their securities and rendered other financial advice for many clients.  Prior to Commerce Capital Markets, Mr. Hunter was a managing director of the business and IT services group at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC and a commercial banker with Mellon Bank N.A.

Mr. Hunter earned a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University.  He was a director of NCO Portfolio Management, Inc. a publicly-traded business process outsourcing company.
